  • SENSATIONAL VOICE!!! The Bamboo Bar is one of my favorite jazz venues in the world. I live in Bangkok and am lucky enough to visit often. The venue is intimate and exudes class with a lot of history. The artists that perform are always of a very high caliber but sometimes there is an artist that is exceptional. That is the case with the current performer, Kate. What a sensational voice she has and what a treat it is to experience her singing. I love to make special requests and Kate sang them beautifully. I have been back a few times already as I wanted to see more of Kate. Not only does she have a sensational voice, but she has such an engaging bubbly personality, she makes everyone feel welcome. Thanks to the Bamboo Bar for creating memorable and fabulous evenings with an incredible songstress!

I always look forward to enjoying the singers at the Bamboo Bar, but this Season it was made exceptional by the legendary Kate Bowen, an international standard consumate professional, with her glamourous look and angelic voice, each note cascading like a perfect string of pearls. Kate immediately sets the tone of the Bamboo while melting with crowd as she guides them through passionate, sultry, and heartfelt deep felt classic jazz in the heart of Asia.   • I'm from New York City. I am a regular at a number of jazz clubs and high end lounges in Manhattan. But I must say, there are few places that come close to The Bamboo Bar. When I was there, I heard a fantastic jazz singer named Kate Bowen. She blew me away. The music was of superior quality, and the overall vibe of the Mandarin Hotel is a MUST see while in Bangkok.

  • The best part was the live performance: A extremely talented singer named Kate took the small stage with a jazz trio and blew me away with her ability to sing as good or better than the original recording of the songs. From jazz classics to modern popular hits, she transported me to musical bliss. Her voice is strong yet gentle and the range is as good as anyone I have ever listened to before. I've been from Hong Kong to L.A, New York to Paris and Rome to Las Vegas - this singer is as good or better than any performer I have ever listened to. A world class singer with unlimited talent and musical abilities. She's so friendly she even took photos with her fans in between sets. Seeing Kate perform is a must do!

  • We came from another country specifically to see their jazz singer Kate Bowen, a spectacular Canadian export with a voice to rival Adele's. We were regulars at her performances in Vietnam, and were thrilled to find out she was back in Asia performing nightly. The highlight was definitely hearing Kate perform the jazz classics as well as more modern fare. She really knows how to engage with her audience, a fact that has won her loyal fans willing to fly to her various engagements. We came every night while we were in town.

  • Fabulous Singer! I’ve been twice now, and loved both experiences! Their lounge singer Kate is to die for! Her voice is so sultry and her personality so warm she made us feel right at home.   • We were blown away by the awesome singer Kate from Canada and her talented trio. She has an amazing vocal range and offers a wide selection of songs, encouraging you to choose your favourites from a huge list on her iPad. We chose some and, having arrived early in the evening, were initially rewarded with an amazing private show! Not only does Kate have a super voice, but she comes across as a very warm person and has a great rapport with her audience.
